Biodata of Speaker:

Prof. Gbenga Solomon Ibileye is a professor of English Language with special interest in Discourse Analysis and Pragmatics. 
He had lectured at the Ahmadu Bello University,  Zaria before joining the services of Federal University Lokoja in 2012.
Apart from his rich intellectual output in journal article publications, he has a number of books to his credit and has attended learned conferences locally and internationally. 
Professor Ibileye was a member of the University Governing Council,  Head of the Department of English and Literary Studies, Director,  General Studies,  Director,  Entrepreneurship Development and Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies.
He is a member of the African Pragmatics Association and a member of the Expanded Executive Committee of the Nigerian Pragmatics Association.
